Renault Unveils Brand New Grand Koleos

At the recent Busan Motor Show in Korea, Renault unveiled a brand new SUV called the Grand Koleos. But hold on a sec, this Koleos is quite different from the one you might remember. Here's the scoop on this exciting new addition to the Renault family.

The first thing you'll notice is that the Grand Koleos doesn't quite resemble its predecessor. That's because it's actually based on a different SUV – the Geely Xingyue L, which debuted a couple of years back. Don't worry though, Renault hasn't simply slapped their logo on someone else's car. They've put their own unique spin on things!

Look closely at the front of the Grand Koleos and you'll see the familiar Renault grille and air intakes. The headlights also sport some new, stylish LED graphics. The overall shape might seem a bit familiar, but take a closer look and you'll see that the body panels are all new. Even the windows have been slightly redesigned towards the back for a sleeker look. The rear end stays fairly true to the original Geely design, with just a few tweaks to the bumper and tailgate.

So, how big is this new Grand Koleos? It's definitely a spacious SUV, measuring in at a whopping 4,780 millimeters long. That's bigger than both the previous Koleos and even some of Renault's other SUV offerings. The wheelbase, which is the distance between the front and back wheels, is a generous 2,820 millimeters, providing ample legroom for passengers. Inside, you'll find a comfortable five-seater configuration and a massive trunk with a whopping 633 liters of cargo space – perfect for packing all your essentials for a road trip or weekend adventure..Renault Grand Koleos interior

Under the hood, the Grand Koleos offers a choice between two engines. For the eco-conscious drivers, there's an exciting hybrid option. This setup combines a powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors, generating a combined output of 242 horsepower. That's plenty of power for city driving and cruising on the highway, while still being kind to the environment.

If you prefer a more traditional gasoline engine, fret not! The Grand Koleos also comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline option, delivering a solid 208 horsepower. Both engine choices send power to the front wheels, but the gasoline version gives you the additional option of all-wheel drive for those who want extra grip and control in all weather conditions.

2025 Renault Grand Koleos

The Renault Grand Koleos is set to hit the streets of Korea this fall, with Renault already accepting early interest applications. It's still unclear if Renault plans to bring this exciting new SUV to other markets around the world, but one thing's for sure: the Grand Koleos is a fresh and innovative addition to the Renault lineup, offering a blend of familiar design with modern technology and efficient powertrain options.
