Audi this week revealed a new Audi S3 Sportback and Audi S3 Sedan. Both models has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 306 hp and 400 nm of torque. The engine is from TFSI series and is connected to a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox. Audi S3 is a 4WD car and can hit 100 kph in 4.8 seconds. Its top speed is also electronically limited to 250 kph.
As the S3 is the sportier version for the A3, Audi has tweaked the suspension as well. Underpinning the S3 there is a four-link rear axle and lower suspension which are 15 mm lower than the standard model. Buyers can also order the S sport suspension which offers better ride quality and dynamic.
Designwise the new S3 has a single-frame grille, large air intakes, rear diffuser, tinted taillights, 18-inch wheels (optional 19-inch) and quad-tailpipes.
The cabin is obviously one of the most driver oriented ones in the segment. For S3, Audi added falt-bottomed steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting and Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.
On the safety side, the 2021 S3 comes standard with lane departure warning, re-sense front assist with turn assist, lane change and exit warning, park assist and rear cross-traffic.
2021 Audi S3 will hit the market by October with a base price of $54,475 for S3 Sportback and $55,505 for the S3 sedan.
