It was two days ago that Kia Motors revealed a new subcompact crossover called the Sonet. Kia Sonet will enter the market in India later this year but after that Kia will sell it all around the world. Kia hasn't yet named the countries where the Sonet will be sold or any data from its pricing.
All we know it that the Sonet will be available with three different engine choices. The first engine is a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder from the Smartstream family. The second engine is a 1.0-liter T-GDi turbo engine and the third engine is a 1.5-liter CRDi turbo diesel unit. Engines can be connected to 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearboxes or 7-speed DCT transmission. The Sonet is also available with a new 6-speed Smartstream intelligent manual transmission (iMT).
In terms of design, Kia Sonet features LED headlights, LED DRLs, black roof, roof racks, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights and front skid plate.
Inside the cabin, there are 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a multifunction steering wheel, 7 speaker premium Bose sound system with a sub-woofer, ventilated front seats, remote engine start, different driving modes, UVO Connect system, and Smart Key.
