Renault has recently revealed the production sample of the Kiger, which is now just for the Indian Market. This compact SUV could be the solution for urban living in the second most populated country of world. Of course, the Market of India is vast, but the competition is also much high. As the result, Renault tried to make this crossover much more attractive.
Kiger was for the first time introduced in the show car in November 2020. Although this SUV has less than 4 meters length, but the sporty and muscular design of it, don’t let anyone underestimate it. Kiger is in the category of urban SUVs. It is based on the same platform which was used for the Triber minivan. Despite of the compact form of it, it provided a very comfortable interior.
The exterior design of Kiger, reminds us the model Kwid and Capture with its C-shaped taillights. The Kiger LED lights in the front and rear of vehicle are also borrowed. The other thing could be the fancier version ride on 16-inch wheels with a black diamond-cut finish. This crossover could be ordered in two-tone paint finishes.
Inside the car, reveals the presents of Renault and Dacia. The three round dials with built-in screens for the climate controls, start-stop button, and seven-inch digital instrument cluster are common items in all the Renault group vehicles. The capacity of interior is 405 liter and by folding the rear seats, it would be 879 liters. So there would be enough spaces for everyone.
Under the hood of this sub-four-meter model is a three-cylinder 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine produces 100 horsepower and 160 Newton-meters (118 pound-feet) of torque. Costumers could have the front wheels via a five-speed manual or an optional CVT power transmition system. However, the option of A lesser 1.0-liter naturally aspirated mill is also available, delivering 72 hp and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) through a five-speed manual or an Easy-R robotized gearbox.
