2021 Volkswagen Arteon Plug-In Hybrid Is Available For The European Market

The Beloved Volkswagen has launched a new model, with two different variants named Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake. The new 2021 models have eHybrid power system, which is emission free during the everyday commute. According to a study, in Germany 95 percent of the daily routs are shorter than 50 km (31 miles). So, the carmaker believes that its new Arteon, is going to be enough for the daily journeys, relying only the electric range only.

Specification

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon is a plug-in hybrid vehicle with a 1.4-litre TSI engine and an electric motor. Overall, this hybrid system produces 215 horsepower and 400Nm of torque.

The EV range of the 2021 VW Arteon is 59km (36 miles), and the Arteon Shooting Brake’s range is 57km (35 miles). Both versions hit the 100 km/h (0-63 mph) in 7.8 seconds and the top speed is 222 km/h (138 mph). The top speed of both cars with electric motor (without the main engine active), is almost 130 km/h. As VW says, the combined range of Arteon can cover 900 km if the battery is fully charged and the fuel tank is full as well.

Design

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon eHybrid, will be available with two different trim levels, called Elegance and R-Line. Both of the trims feature 18-inch alloy wheels alongside LED headlights, a Light Assist and dynamic turn signals for the LED taillights.

Inside of the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon’s cabin, we see Alcantara/leather seat cover. If you choose the Elegance trim, you will get high-quality wood as well. With the R-Line, you will see metal inside the cabin. The steering wheel features the touch controls on it. You will get heater for the front seats, too.

The European buyers will enjoy the eight-inch infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster and a front and rear park assist as standard features.

Pricing

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon eHybrid is currently 51.000 euros, while the Shooting Brake version is 51.900 euros.
