As the hottest variant of the economic mass-production car, the 2017 Civic Si is now set to hit the market. The Si version's external style is a more aggressive yet subtle development of the normal model, with a glossy black trunk lid spoiler complementing the dark finish of the side mirror caps and window surrounds. It's also the Si, as shown by an under-body spoiler at the front.

The inside of the 2022 Civic Sedan has been mostly carried over, but with a slew of red highlights, aluminum pedals, and a set of athletic seats with integrated headrests and increased lateral support.

A seven-inch digital driver's display and a nine-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also included. The Si comes equipped with a 12-speaker Bose sound system that includes a subwoofer.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine now generates 200 horsepower, and the 260 Nm of torque that was available in the previous-generation Civic Si now arrives 300 rpm earlier, at 1,800 rpm, resulting in more lively acceleration off the line. Honda claims that the engine has been modified to generate more power between the 6,000 rpm peak and the 6,500 rpm redline, compared to previously.

The 2022 Civic Si is a manual-only vehicle with an improved six-speed transmission that borrows rev-matching technology from the Type R. The gearbox has been redesigned to provide 10% shorter throws and improved shift sensation.

Honda has also designed a new twin exhaust system that produces 27% more exhaust flow than the standard Civic Touring. Furthermore, the single-mass flywheel is now 26% lighter than the preceding Civic Si's single-mass unit.
