Renault debuted an all-new Clio for the 2024 model year last week and now we have some information about its specifications. The subcompact hatchback's fully reworked front has thinner headlights and a larger grille with a checkerboard pattern, making the 2024 Renault Clio a significant makeover.
Five different wheel designs with a diameter of up to 17 inches are available for Renault's redesigned Clio. The French manufacturer is attempting to revive the fashion for transparent taillights. Depending on the trim level and whether the vehicle is a hybrid or not, the diffuser can also have one of the six different styles. The Esprit Alpine, a flagship trim that replaces RS Line, may be seen here.
The interior has been mostly maintained, although the entire cabin is made of modern eco-friendly materials. In actuality, leather interiors for the 2024 Clio are not available. TEP, a material comprised of organic and polyester fibers, is used to cover the seats instead. The tiny hatch gets livelier front seats with more lateral support when you upgrade to the Esprit Alpine.
The touchscreen is available in 7- or 9.3-inch layouts, while the digital instrument cluster is offered in 7- and 10-inch versions. Along with integrated navigation, a 360-degree camera, and no fewer than 20 driver assistance systems, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported.
Starting with a naturally aspirated three-cylinder, 1.0-liter engine rated at 65 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque and driving the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox, the powertrain range comprises the usual suspects. A second 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine with a turbocharger and six-speed manual transmission follows, producing 90 horsepower and 160 Nm.
The Clio E-Tech Full Hybrid 145 offers a top-of-the-line powertrain, which combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a 1.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It has a total output of 145 horsepower, as its name suggests, and delivers that power to the road via a clutchless transmission with two gears in EV mode and four in combustion engine mode.
Renault will offer the Blue dCi 100 engine in the 2024 Clio. The classic 1.5-liter mill generates 100 horsepower and 260 Nm and is connected to a six-speed manual transmission.
Renault is also selling a redesigned Clio with a CNG-powered three-cylinder turbo engine. It has a range of over 1,000 km and a torque of 170 Nm from 2,000 rpm while producing 8% less CO2 than a comparable gasoline-only engine.
