Chevrolet is set to make a splash in Brazil with the announcement of the upcoming 2025 Chevrolet Spin, a model that, while resembling more of a facelift than an entirely new generation, promises a host of improvements to maintain its relevance in the competitive three-row minivan segment. Originating as the Brazilian-developed minivan version of the now-discontinued Cobalt in 2012, the Spin has seen a facelift in 2018, and the 2025 model is poised to mark the "biggest evolutionary leap" yet, integrating a redesigned face, an enhanced crossover stance, modern technology, and a new chassis setup.

While the 2025 Spin does not seem to be a clean-sheet design, the company has released two teaser photos highlighting the revamped front end and the updated interior. Examining the exterior changes, the front bumper features intricate, mostly decorative intakes, and the new full-LED headlights visually connect with the upper portion of the grille. A taller hood contributes to a more pronounced crossover stance, complemented by plastic cladding encompassing the bodywork and a slightly increased ground clearance.

Inside the cabin, modern technology takes center stage, with a digital instrument cluster seamlessly connected to a higher-mounted 11-inch touchscreen. This touchscreen will incorporate the Chevrolet MyLink multimedia system, boasting features such as OnStar, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and compatibility with over-the-air updates. Chevrolet claims that the Spin will offer the "most comprehensive set of safety equipment" in its segment, although specific details are yet to be disclosed. The new Spin will continue to be available in both five-seater and seven-seater configurations, maintaining flexibility for different consumer preferences.

Beyond cosmetic enhancements, the 2025 Spin features substantial upgrades beneath the surface. Chevrolet engineers have fine-tuned the suspension, providing a slight lift to enhance the driving experience. Additionally, adjustments have been made to the powertrain and steering calibration, with a focus on improving refinement and efficiency. While detailed specifications are yet to be released, local media speculates that the existing 1.8-liter four-cylinder flex-fuel powertrain is likely to be retained.

The official debut of the 2025 Chevrolet Spin is scheduled for the end of March, coinciding with the Big Brother show. This updated crossover minivan represents one of the "six major launches" planned by Chevrolet Brazil for 2024. Alongside the Brazilian market, the Spin is also available in Argentina, the Philippines, and Thailand, solidifying its position as a global player in the minivan segment.
