While the Tonale boasts a stylish Italian design and promises a spirited driving experience, its high price tag has proven to be a significant deterrent for many potential buyers. The introduction of a new, more affordable entry-level variant aims to address this concern. Starting at $36,535, this new model represents a substantial $9,500 price reduction compared to the plug-in hybrid version. This move is a crucial step towards making the Tonale more accessible to a wider range of consumers and increasing its competitiveness against rivals like the Dodge Hornet, which starts at $31,585 and shares a common platform with the Tonale.
Despite the price reduction, the entry-level Tonale still offers a respectable level of standard equipment. Key features include LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers, unique 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a stylish black interior trim. The cabin also incorporates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment system, providing a modern and user-friendly experience.
