Alfa Romeo has streamlined its Tonale lineup in the United States, reducing the number of available trim levels from three to just one. This decision aligns with a similar move made last month for the 2025 Giulia and Stelvio models.
this simplification comes at a cost. The base 2025 Tonale is now priced significantly higher than its predecessor, starting at $48,195 compared to the 2024 Tonale Sprint's starting price of $43,845. This substantial increase positions the Tonale closer in price to the larger Stelvio, which starts at $51,195.
The new standard Tonale replaces the Sprint, Ti, and Veloce trims and can be further customized with optional packages. The Veloce package adds sporty elements like red Brembo brakes, a Veloce badge, dual chrome exhausts, and aluminum accents. For those seeking advanced technology, the Active Assist package includes features such as Active Driving Assist, a surround-view camera, and ParkSense parking assist. The Premium Package offers luxury amenities like perforated leather seats, ventilated front seats, and a power liftgate. Additionally, individual options are available, including a moonroof, premium audio system, and various wheel sizes.

A limited-production version of the Tonale, known as the Tributo Italiano, has also been introduced for 2025. This special edition features a distinctive bodykit, larger wheels, red Brembo calipers, a hands-free power tailgate, and a black-painted roof. Inside, it includes premium features like driver seat memory, perforated leather seats with red accents, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
All 2025 Alfa Romeo Tonale models are powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor and a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. This hybrid setup delivers a total of 285 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque, allowing the Tonale to achieve an electric-only range of up to 53 kilometers.
