Audi introduced a long wheelbase version of A7 sportback for Chinese market. The model will be built inside China in a joint-venture with SAIC motors. In this agreement, Volkswagen will invest 590 million US dollar in China and there is a plane for producing 60,000 long wheelbase version of A7 Sportback. The first model will be delivered to showrooms by 2022. There is no word about pricing and technical details yet.
This is not the first joint venture for Audi in China. The company has a joint-venture collaboration with the FAW Group as well since 1995. Actually since 1990s VW cars are built in China by SAIC-VW and FAW-VW.
