Porsche will soon debut the entry-level Taycan in order to extend the electric car family. The base model Taycan is set to debut on June 29 in China.
While the Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S are all-wheel drive cars, the base model will be a rear-wheel drive car with a single electric motor. Porsche also mentioned that the base model Taycan will have a smaller battery. Porsche also said that though the base model Taycan will focus on driving range, it doesn't mean that it is a slow car.
The base model Taycan is expected to cost less than the Taycan 4S, which is $103,800 in the United States. Porsche Taycan 4S uses dual-motor with total power of 530 hp and 640 NM of torque. It has a 79.2 kWh battery pack.
