BMW is seriously working on the EV version for the next-generation of M5. the next-generation of the BMW 5 Series will debut in 2023 and we expect that on 2024 BMW will reveal the performance variant M5.
According to Car Magazine’s Georg Kacher, the next M5 will use a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a force induction V8 engine with couple of electric motors. The estimated output is around 750 hp and 1000 nm of torque.
BMW is also working on the all-electric variant with around 1000 hp. This model can go 0-100 in less than 3 seconds. The model is expected to use a 135kWh battery pack that can offer 700 km of driving range.
