BMW is getting ready for revealing its first electric SUV named iX3 and teased some photos of it in social media. The iX3 will be made based on the X3 crossover. The model features a different front facia matched to its electric powertrain. Like many electric cars, the iX3 has a completely closed grille because there is no need to big amount of air. The front bumper is also different.
Other changes include a rear diffuser, front fender vents, and aerodynamic wheels.
Underneath the BMW iX3, there is an electric motor mounted on the rear axle with 282 hp and 400 NM of torque. The motor is backed by a 74 kWh battery pack which brings a range of at least 440 km per single charge. BMW will start producing the iX3 this summer.
