Buick's announcement on February 21st marked the official launch of the enhanced version of the E4 electric vehicle in China, signaling a significant update to the existing lineup. The new iteration offers consumers four distinct configurations, with prices spanning from $22,200 to $32,000. This pricing strategy, notably lower than the original starting price of $26,400 when the E4 debuted in mid-2023, underscores the intensifying price competition within China's New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector.

Equipped with the latest eConnect smart connectivity system, the updated E4 boasts a suite of in-car applications such as Migu Quick Game, Migu, Kugou Music, and QQ Music. Moreover, enhancements to the intelligent voice experience include the introduction of multiple voice options for user customization, augmenting the overall user experience.

The new Buick E4 offers a diverse range of exterior color options, including Night Black, Cloudy Cyan, Ashen Gray, Winter Birch White, Eden Purple, and Pinecone Green. Interior choices extend to five different versions: Titanium Gray, Light White, Nightfall Purple, Cardamom Green, and GS Night Copper, ensuring personalization options to suit various preferences. Despite these updates, the design of the new model remains largely consistent with its predecessors.

In terms of features and technology, the revamped E4 showcases the all-new VCS intelligent cockpit, featuring a standard EYEMAX 30-inch curved 6K display and integrated 8155 chip. Additionally, the vehicle introduces several new in-car applications and a dual-zone voice recognition system tailored for both the driver and front passenger, capable of executing 10 consecutive commands within a swift 25-second timeframe.

It achieves an impressive CLTC-rated range of 620 kilometers. Meanwhile, the three single-motor versions offer a maximum power output of 180 kW, peak torque of 330 Nm, an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds, and a CLTC-rated range of 530 kilometers.

Positioned as an entry-level mid-size SUV within SAIC General Motors' Buick lineup, the E4 initially aimed for high sales targets upon its introduction last year. With the introduction of the upgraded model accompanied by a substantial discount off its original price, coupled with significant enhancements to smart technology features, the vehicle presents consumers with even greater value for their investment.
