BYD has unveiled the 2025 version of its popular Han model, which comes in nine different variants across its DM-i (plug-in hybrid) and EV series. Since its initial launch four years ago, the BYD Han has achieved remarkable sales, surpassing 800,000 units. The latest version brings a series of subtle yet modern upgrades in terms of both design and performance, keeping it competitive in the mid-to-large sedan market.
On the exterior, the 2025 Han presents a refreshed look with a new color option called "fashion gray," adding a touch of sophistication. Both the DM-i and EV versions now feature a similar front-end design, enhancing the cohesive appearance across the lineup. The front grille has been streamlined for a cleaner, more modern look, with the electric models showcasing a sleeker, closed-off design. For those looking for a sportier aesthetic, a black sports package is available, which adds to the vehicle's dynamic appeal. The dimensions of the car remain consistent with the previous models, maintaining a length of 4,975 mm, width of 1,910 mm, and height of 1,495 mm, along with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. Inside, the 2025 Han focuses on elevating comfort and integrating advanced technology. For the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, BYD has equipped the 2025 Han with its fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. This system combines a 1.5T turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, generating a combined torque output of 315 Nm. The PHEV version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, with an impressive fuel efficiency of 3.8L/100 km in hybrid mode. When fully charged and fueled, the PHEV version can travel up to 1,350 km CLTC.
Pricing for the new Han models varies, with the PHEV versions ranging from 165,800 to 225,800 yuan, while the EV models are priced between 179,800 and 235,800 yuan. Notably, the entry-level PHEV model is now priced 4,000 yuan lower than its predecessor, while the EV variants maintain the same price as before. Both the PHEV and EV models come with notable advancements in technology and performance, positioning the 2025 Han as a strong contender in the increasingly competitive sedan market.
