Changan Qiyuan Q05 Goes On Sale In China

Based on the Changan CS55 Plus petrol-powered vehicle, the Changan Qiyuan Q05 is an SUV that runs on plug-in hybrid technology. Prior to the market introduction, it was introduced within Chinese Qiyuan stores. Changan's new energy brand is called Qiyuan. It was once identified by the codename OX.

Qiyuan plans to release seven models by 2025. Its A07 liftback is its debut vehicle. The A05 car, A06 liftback, Q05 SUV, and CD701 pickup truck are additional models. Three models (A05, A06, and Q05) are the Changan gasoline-powered cars on this list. The Q05 SUV is now available in Chinese retailers.

Based on the CS55 Plus SUV is the Changan Qiyuan Q05. They maintain consistency with regard to size, shape, and external design. It had a wheelbase of 2656 mm and dimensions of 4539 mm by 1856 mm by 1680 mm. It has conventional door handles and distinctively designed R19 five-spoke rims.

The 1.5-liter Blue Core self-aspirated engine, which produces 110 horsepower, is the powerplant of the Changan Qiyuan Q05. It has a 215 horsepower electric motor attached to it. There will be a less potent version of the Q05 with a 195 horsepower e-motor. The Q05 will have an LFP battery on board. Its full potential is still unknown.

Internally, the Qiyuan Q05 similarly adheres to the CS55 Plus' design aesthetic. It features an instrument panel with a 10.25-inch LCD behind a compact, oval-shaped steering wheel. The Q05's main screen measures 12.3 inches in diameter. A retractable gear selector resembling that of the CS55 Plus is located in its central tube. It includes concealed cup holders as well.

The Q05's price was not disclosed. On the other hand, the price differential between Changan Lamore (Yida) and Changan Qiyuan A05, two other twin models, allows us to estimate its pricing range.

The starting price of the A05 is 89,900 yuan. It costs 7,000 yuan (820 USD) more than the Changan Lamore with gasoline. The Qiyuan Q05 may be purchased for 99,450 yuan (13,590 USD), while the Changan CS55 Plus petrol-powered SUV starts at 92,900 yuan (12,695 USD).
