Chery is set to launch its new Fulwin T10 plug-in hybrid SUV on July 14. Right now, the Fulwin T10 vehicles are ready for delivery from Chery’s Wuhu factory in China. Initially, the two-wheel drive models will be available, followed by the four-wheel drive versions. The starting price is expected to be around $27,500.
The Fulwin T10 will offer both single-motor and dual-motor options. As a sibling to the Chery Fulwin T9, it will feature Chery’s Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system. This system includes a fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid engine paired with electric motors and a 3-speed DHT. The engine generates up to 154 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. The single-motor version has an electric motor with 221 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds. The dual-motor version is more powerful, with front and rear motors producing 221 hp and 235 hp, respectively, and a combined torque of 740 Nm. This version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
In terms of size, the Chery Fulwin T10 is 4850 mm long, 1930 mm wide, and 1712 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm, making it a medium-to-large SUV. Buyers can choose between five- and six-seat configurations and four exterior colors: white, black, silver, and forest green. Inside, there are two color options: purple and green.
Every model in the series comes with a 34.46 kWh battery pack supplied by CATL. The single-motor variant offers a pure electric range of 210 km on the CLTC cycle, while the dual-motor variant offers 200 km. The total driving range, including the hybrid system, is an impressive 1,400 km.
Inside the vehicle, the cockpit features a dual-screen setup, combining the instrument panel and central control screen. There is a D-shaped steering wheel and rectangular air-conditioning vents. The center console includes a rotary knob for adjusting various settings. Additional features include an AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display), 256-color ambient lighting, 14 speakers, 10 airbags, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and a special "queen" co-pilot seat equipped with a massage function and an adjustable leg rest.
