Chery Unveils 2025 Tiggo 7 Pro With New Special Edition

Chery Australia has introduced two new Special Edition variants for its 2025 Tiggo 7 Pro SUV, replacing the previous Urban, Elite, and Ultimate models.

The entry-level Special Edition retains several key features from the former Urban trim, including 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an eight-speaker Sony audio system. However, to align with its lower price point, it no longer includes a sunroof, heated front seats, ambient interior lighting, or a wireless smartphone charging pad. These features, along with a 360-degree camera system, power-operated tailgate, power-folding side mirrors, a cargo cover, and an air quality management system, are now exclusively available in the higher-tier SE+ model.

Under the hood, the 2025 Tiggo 7 Pro continues to use the well-known 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 183 horsepower and 275Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to Chery, the vehicle has a fuel consumption rating of 7.0L/100km in controlled testing conditions.

Safety remains a priority for Chery, with the 2025 Tiggo 7 Pro SE models receiving a five-star ANCAP safety rating. In addition, the SUV is backed by a comprehensive ownership package, including a seven-year unlimited-kilometer warranty, seven years of capped-price servicing, and seven years of roadside assistance.

Despite a refreshed Tiggo 7 Pro being introduced in China last year, Chery Australia has not yet confirmed when this updated version will be available locally. As for pricing, the new Tiggo 7 Pro Special Edition (SE) starts at $29,990 drive-away, while the more feature-packed Special Edition+ (SE+) is priced at $33,990. These models are now available for purchase at Chery dealerships across Australia.

For reference, the SE variant is significantly more affordable than last year’s base Urban model, which was priced at $39,990. Similarly, the SE+ comes in well below the previous mid-range Elite ($41,990) and top-tier Ultimate ($45,990). However, the revised pricing structure is accompanied by changes in standard features, reflecting the adjustments in cost.

Additionally, Chery has announced that the drive-away pricing applies to private customers who purchase and take delivery of a new Tiggo 7 Pro SE or SE+ between February 1 and March 31, 2025.
