With its DC100 electric motorcycle, Chinese manufacturer Davinci Motor is hoping for greater success. The DC100 is expected to make its American debut at CES and is advertised as a competitor to conventional 1,000cc motorcycles. The DC100 has a cutting-edge composite body covering a one-piece aluminum alloy frame.
A 17.7 kWh battery pack is used to power the vehicle's 134 hp and 850 Nm electric motor. The bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about three seconds before reaching its top speed of 200 km/h thanks to this configuration. The bike can be fully recharged with a DC fast charger in 30 minutes, according to the manufacturer, and has an NEDC range of 400 km.
The motorcycle, which weighs 255 kg, also has 17-inch wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires and Brembo brakes. The kinetic energy recovery system, over-the-air updates, and safety features like a traction control system are a few technological highlights. Future versions of Davinci will also include more sophisticated features like a self-balancing feature, automatic parking, and remote calling. The DC100 also features digital key technology, and owners can download the Davinci app to turn their smartphone into a digital instrument cluster.
According to Davinci, the bike will cost $27,500.
