Dodge Attitude GT Green Hornet Revealed In Mexico

Dodge might not currently offer a sedan in its U.S. and Canadian markets, but the brand hasn’t entirely stepped away from the sedan segment—at least not in Mexico. The automaker recently introduced the Dodge Attitude GT Green Hornet, a special edition limited to just 300 units and designed exclusively for the Mexican market. This unique model is essentially a rebadged version of the GAC/Trumpchi Empow, a Chinese sedan that has already been available in other markets. The primary distinction in this special edition is the introduction of a new, exclusive color.

However, if you were hoping that the Green Hornet edition would deliver a performance boost to match its bold design, you might be let down. The sedan retains the same turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine found in the rest of the Attitude lineup. This engine delivers 168 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, identical to the standard variants. Nevertheless, this GAC-based model is more powerful than previous Attitude generations, which were derived from the Hyundai Accent and Mitsubishi Mirage G4. The car's power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.95 seconds. The suspension system remains unchanged as well, with the multi-link rear axle carried over from the standard GT trim.

As its name implies, the Green Hornet edition is exclusively offered in a Matte Olive Green paint job. This shade closely resembles the Shiny Fighter Green used on the GAC Empow R, albeit with a matte finish. The special edition also features 18-inch Satin Black wheels and full LED headlights, both of which are standard on the regular GT trim. Additionally, the quad tailpipes and active exhaust system are carried over, offering the illusion of enhanced performance without any real mechanical upgrades.

Inside, the Green Hornet doesn’t introduce major changes, apart from a few cosmetic adjustments. Red stitching on the seats and a carbon-finish center console add a touch of uniqueness, but the cabin largely mirrors that of the regular Attitude GT. The leather-wrapped steering wheel, which includes a dedicated button for the active exhaust system, remains unchanged. Dual 10.25-inch screens continue to dominate the dashboard, offering a modern and connected interior experience.

The Dodge Attitude GT Green Hornet is now available for order in Mexico, priced at 488,900 pesos (around $23,800). Dodge claims the GAC-based sedan has experienced “remarkable sales growth” since its debut in August 2024, though the company has not disclosed specific sales numbers to back up this claim.
