Dongfeng owns Nammi, a new energy vehicle brand that specializes in compact electric vehicles and plans to sell 400,000 units annually by 2025.
Nammi's 01 pure electric vehicle went on pre-sale on November 17, the first day of the 21st Guangzhou Auto Show, with a price range of $11,000 to $15,200.
The first model constructed using the Dongfeng S3 platform is called the Nammi-01. Its triangular headlights, round taillights, hidden door handles, and frameless front doors give it a rounded, cute, and compact overall shape that is consistent with small electric vehicle design.
On the right front fender is the charging interface. As per Nammi, there are also advanced driving assistance capabilities at Level 2. In addition, the car has five-spoke wheels and, depending on the configuration, should come with 16- or 17-inch rims. Nammi 01's dimensions are as follows: it is 4030 mm long, 1810 mm wide, 1570 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2660 mm. 945 L is the maximum trunk volume.
The interior has a striking black-and-white color scheme, with door trims featuring prints of a lattice pattern. With the functions integrated into the entire LCD instrument panel and floating central control screen, there are fewer physical buttons.
With front-wheel drive and two different cruising range options (330 km and 430 km), the Nammi 01 is powered by lithium iron phosphate battery packs that have an energy density of 31.45 kWh and 42.3 kWh, respectively. The electric motor can reach a top speed of 140 km/h and a maximum power of 95 horsepower. According to information released by the Chinese MIIT, a 400V fast charging is also supported, which can reach a 200 km range in just eight minutes of charging.
