Dongfeng’s FengGuang Mini EV, 27 Horsepower Just For Urban Use

The FenGuang Mini EV is a new electric vehicle from Dongfeng. It has identical dimensions, tiny wheels, and very similar lines on the fenders to the Wuling, which is China's best-selling electric car; yet, a few characteristics distinguish it from its clear source of inspiration.

The Dongfeng FenGuang Mini EV has a two-box design with vertical sides and a vertical rear end.

The Dongfeng FenGuang Mini EV is somewhat longer, wider, and taller than its major competitor, the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV, at 2,995 mm length, 1,495 mm width, and 1,640 mm height, with a 1,960 mm wheelbase.

A single electric motor produces 34 horsepower, which is sufficient for a vehicle that will be utilized in urban surroundings. This implies that the FengGuang Mini EV will most certainly surpass the HongGuang Mini EV, which has a 27 horsepower motor. What we don't know yet are the battery pack's characteristics and anticipated range.

The Dongfeng FengGuang Mini EV is estimated to have a starting price of $5,000. Aside from the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, there are a few more options.

We're not sure if Dongfeng will follow in the footsteps of the Dartz FreZe and export the microcar, but it seems quite improbable.

In the first quarter of 2022, the Dongfeng FengGuang Mini EV will make its debut.
