The designation "iDD" in the UNI-V iDD model denotes its intelligent Dual Drive system, a versatile hybrid platform supporting various hybrid configurations such as a 48V mild hybrid system, hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV).

Constructed on Changan's Ark architecture, the second-generation UNI-V iDD boasts dimensions of 4720 mm in length, 1838 mm in width, 1435 mm in height, and a wheelbase measuring 2750 mm. Standard features across the series include an electric tail wing and an electric tailgate, adding convenience and functionality to the driving experience. Furthermore, the Ark architecture integrates safety measures with the incorporation of six airbags and a car body composed of 70% high-strength steel, ensuring robust protection for occupants.

Despite its evolutionary improvements, the exterior design of the second-gen UNI-V iDD closely mirrors that of its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, maintaining a seamless aesthetic with a borderless front grille complemented by sharp headlights.

Enhancing the sporty ambiance, the center console features a sleek gear lever. Notably, Changan touts the inclusion of the Super Race 2.0 mode, promising an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts.

In terms of advanced driver assistance, the UNI-V iDD incorporates a suite of safety features, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist, contributing to enhanced driving confidence and occupant safety.

However, the crowning achievement lies in the powertrain department, where the UNI-V iDD showcases Changan's proprietary iDD plug-in hybrid system. This system pairs a 1.5L engine with a front electric motor, seamlessly integrated with an E-CVT transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 110 hp and peak torque of 143 Nm, while the electric motor contributes 214 Nm and 330 Nm respectively. Impressively, the sedan achieves a top speed of 185 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds.

Additionally, the lithium iron phosphate battery affords a CLTC pure electric range of 136 km, with a comprehensive CLTC range extending to 1,160 km. For added convenience, DC fast charging capability enables a rapid recharge from 30% to 80% battery capacity in a mere 30 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing driving efficiency.

In summary, Changan's second-generation UNI-V iDD sedan represents a compelling blend of innovative technology, sophisticated design, and advanced safety features, catering to the discerning needs of modern-day consumers seeking eco-friendly mobility solutions without compromising on performance or comfort.
