Geely has recently unveiled images of the 2025 Monjaro L, known as the Xingyue L in China, showcasing a series of updates to its design and features. The refreshed model introduces notable changes to the front grille, brand logo, and interior aesthetics. While it's unclear whether the 2025 version will completely replace the existing model or be sold as an additional variant, it is speculated that this could mark a full upgrade of the current Monjaro lineup.

A prominent design feature of the new Monjaro is the revised grille, which now adopts a vertical bar design that protrudes outward, giving the front fascia a bolder, more aggressive appearance. The grille also incorporates Geely’s updated silver emblem, further modernizing the vehicle’s look. However, other key elements such as the shape of the LED headlights and the lower bumper’s air intake grille remain mostly unchanged. The new model is also fitted with stylish 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, adding a touch of sophistication to its exterior design. Another change is the introduction of a new "Stone Green" paint color, similar to the one used on the Geely Preface (called the Xingrui in China), enhancing the vehicle's overall appeal.

The 2025 Geely Monjaro will be offered in two different configurations, both equipped with a high-output 2.0TD engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. One variant will be the two-wheel-drive “Lanxing” version, while the other will feature the four-wheel-drive “Wangyue” system. These powertrain options are designed to provide a balance between performance and efficiency, catering to different driving preferences. The continued use of the 2.0TD four-cylinder engine indicates a focus on delivering power and torque suitable for a variety of road conditions. The current Monjaro's EVO engine version produces 160 kW and 325 Nm of torque, while the high-output model generates 175 kW and 350 Nm of torque. The top-tier version also offers an adaptive all-wheel-drive system, ensuring improved traction and stability in challenging driving environments.

2025 Geely Monjaro L interior

Inside the 2025 Monjaro L, Geely continues to emphasize technology and convenience, offering a three-screen display system. This includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a central control screen, and a passenger entertainment screen, creating a high-tech cabin experience. For higher-end models, an augmented reality (AR) heads-up display will also be available, further elevating the level of digital integration in the vehicle’s interior. While more specific interior updates are yet to be disclosed, the brand is clearly aiming to enhance the user experience with these technological improvements.

Pre-orders for the 2025 Geely Monjaro L have already started, with the expected price range falling between 170,000 and 180,000 yuan, which equates to approximately 24,000 to 25,500 USD. The official launch of the vehicle is scheduled for October 23. Given the updates and improvements, the Monjaro L is positioned to continue being a strong contender in the competitive SUV market, offering both style and substance for its buyers.
