The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, Geely Zeekr, stated that the first sedan model will go on presale at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 17.
The PMA2+ platform, on which Zeekr 007 is based, features double-wishbone suspension and 800V design. The car's dimensions are 1900 mm wide, 1450 mm height, 4865 mm long, and 2928 mm wheelbase.
The PMA2+ platform is a mid- and full-size electric vehicle chassis that was developed by Geely and Volvo. The platform is also used by Lotus and Polestar. In addition to the 007, the PMA2+ platform is being used in the development of Smart's third and fourth models, as well as the Galaxy E8 and E9.
Ownership of the high-end electric car brand Zeekr is held by Geely Automobile Holdings. It was established in 2021 and focuses on electric vehicles. The Sustainable Experience Architecture serves as the foundation for Zeekr's goods (SEA). In October 2021, Zeekr began shipping its first model, the 001.
According to previously released spy pictures, the front cover of the new car has a clam form. The running lights during the day have a new, simple appearance. Both low- and high-beam lights are integrated into the headlights. The vehicle's brakes consist of a set of four-piston calipers. A surround-view camera is installed. Larger trunks are made possible by the rear suspension's length compared to the front suspension's shortness. The car has a sleek back end, but only up to the C-pillar. This means that there should be plenty of headroom in the second row.
The electric vehicle is powered by a 204 horsepower motor with a torque of 350 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. It takes 30 minutes to fully charge. The electric mid-size automobile is equipped with three LiDARs and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor.
