Genesis G80 and GV80 launch for U.S market was delayed because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Both models were set to hit the U.S showrooms this summer but Genesis said that the launch has been stopped due to COVID-19 pandemic.
GV80 is the first SUV of Genesis and it received a good amount of reservation. The new G80 also got lots of attention. The sport four-door coupe will hit the market with the base price of $47,700. Its standard features include GPS navigation system, 12-way power front seats with heater, leather upholstery and 14.5-inch infotainment screen.
Higher trim are equipped with a heated and ventilated front seats, 3D instrument cluster, matte wood trim, Nappa leather seats and head-up display.
Under the hood there is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 300 hp and 421 NM of torque. Buyers who are looking for more power can opt the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 375 hp and 530 NM of torque. Genesis G80 is a rear-wheel-drive car as standard buy buyers can order an AWD system as an extra cost option.
GV80 also uses the same engines as G80 and its starting price is $48,900.
