Haval is bringing back its Big Dog SUV in a new "Hunting Edition" edition. The new trim has an off-road-oriented design that complements the Big Dog's boxy body and highlights its adventurous capabilities. The new trim features an off-road-oriented design.
The Hunting Edition has a revised face with thicker plastic covering than the previous model. The grille has risen in size and is now attached to the new front bumper and headlamp housings.
Bolt-on fender add-ons, running boards, and new 19-inch wheels are included with the profile. Finally, the back end has been upgraded with a new rear bumper.
The Big Dog's interior features a 12.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, Nappa leather upholstery, and a 10-speaker Infinity audio system.
The adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic warning, and auto park assist functions of the SUV are not smart enough to support autonomous off-roading.
The Hunting Edition comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that produces 168 horsepower or a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 208 horsepower, both paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission. It's available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The Big Dog is also available in a few international areas, such as South Africa and Russia.
The Hunting Edition is projected to cost somewhat more than the current Big Dog line in China, which costs between $17,847 and $24,099 at the moment.
