The German tuning firm HOF, led by former Mercedes-AMG CEO Philip Schiemer, has unveiled a unique homage to Lewis Hamilton. Inspired by the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion's illustrious career, the ‘Sir Class’ is a bespoke G-Wagon that blends raw power with opulent luxury.
The exterior of the ‘Sir Class’ is a masterpiece of carbon fiber artistry. A custom body kit, including a distinctive carbon fiber hood, envelops the vehicle, while striking Petronas teal accents adorn the 23-inch wheels and badges. The silver-to-black fade paint job adds a touch of sophistication. Lowered by 1.2 inches with new coilovers, the SUV boasts improved handling and aerodynamics, and carbon ceramic brakes ensure rapid deceleration.
The interior is equally impressive, featuring bespoke bucket seats with teal accents and the number "1,063" embroidered on the headrests. A combination of premium leather and Alcantara adorns the cabin, while custom teal accents grace the door panels and dashboard. A standout feature is the "Starry Sky Ceiling," reminiscent of Rolls-Royce's Starlight Headliner.
The pièce de résistance, however, is the F1-inspired steering wheel. Directly inspired by Hamilton's W13 race car, this unique wheel, clad in carbon fiber and Alcantara, is a rare sight outside of the AMG One hypercar.
Under the hood, the ‘Sir Class’ utilizes the familiar twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine from the Mercedes-AMG G63. However, HOF has extensively modified the engine with stronger connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded turbochargers, an aluminum airbox, and bespoke software. The result is a staggering 1,063 horsepower and 959 pound-feet of torque, propelling the SUV from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and onto a top speed of 186 mph.
The ‘Sir Class’ made its debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, marking the end of Hamilton's era with Mercedes. HOF plans to produce only 11 examples of this extraordinary SUV, each priced at a staggering $690,000.
