The first official image of the brand-new second-generation Breeze has been released by GAC-Honda. In China, the Honda Breeze, mostly based on the new Honda CR-V, serves as an alternative to the Dongfeng Honda CR-V. It is available in both five- and seven-seater configurations.
When compared to the CR-V, the Breeze has a significantly smaller grille, a larger bumper intake, and model-specific LED headlights. It receives a redesigned tailgate with LED taillights positioned horizontally at the back. Finally, body-colored panels have replaced the plastic coating surrounding the bodywork, giving it a more upscale appearance.
The Breeze's length is 22 mm greater than the CR-V's 4,716 mm, but their 2,700 mm wheelbases are identical.
The Breeze's interior is almost identical to the CR-V’s interior with some minor changes. The most recent version of Honda's 360 Sensing suite is included, along with numerous ADAS. A three-row seven-seater arrangement is also possible in the Breeze, just like in the Chinese-spec Honda CR-V.
Similar to its CR-V sister, the Honda Breeze will make its debut with an ICE-powered turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that generates 190 horsepower and 243 Nm of torque. A CVT gearbox is used to exclusively deliver power to the front or to all four wheels (AWD). There are also speculations of a plug-in hybrid vehicle arriving in 2023.
The new Honda Breeze will be available for purchase in China before the end of the year. Pricing has not been released, but we anticipate it to be slightly more expensive than the CR-V, which starts at $26,646 in China.
