China's renowned Hongqi brand has become synonymous with daring, opulent vehicles, challenging the norms of automotive design and rivaling established players such as Rolls-Royce. Their latest innovation, the Guoyue bus, represents perhaps their most extravagant offering to date. While its appeal to private customers may be somewhat limited, it is poised to capture the attention of government agencies, the hospitality sector, and large corporations aiming to make a distinctive statement on the road.

Power and Performance

Beneath the hood, the Guoyue is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, delivering a commendable 292 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. This enables the Guoyue to achieve a top speed of 130 km/h, accompanied by a combined fuel consumption of approximately 16 liters per 100 kilometers.

Exterior Design and Dimensions

The Guoyue caters to various levels of luxury, presenting three distinct configurations:

1. Business: Accommodates 20 or 23 passengers in a practical layout.

2. Luxury: Reduces seating to 17 or 19 passengers, providing increased space and amenities.

3. Flagship: Epitomizes opulence with just 17 seats and the most lavish features.

Despite its generous interior space, the Guoyue's dimensions (7,295 mm long, 2,090 mm wide, 2,785 mm tall) align with typical small buses. Its standout feature lies in its unwavering dedication to luxury.

The Hongqi design language seamlessly translates to the Guoyue, featuring an imposing front grille with vertical chrome slats reminiscent of the brand's passenger cars. Thin LED daytime running lights complement the large headlamps positioned lower on the fascia. The sides proudly display the iconic "Red Flag" emblem, symbolizing luxury within the brand. The overall impression exudes grandeur and presence, befitting a vehicle designed for transporting VIPs.
