Hyundai revealed a new sedan for the Chinese market debuted as the Mistra. Hyundai Mistra is a mid-size sedan that is a little bit smaller than the Hyundai Sonata but bigger than Hyundai Elantra. It measures 4,780 mm long, 1,815 mm wide, and 1,460 mm tall. Its wheelbase is also 2,770 mm as the automaker claimed that the Mistra has the best in class interior space.
In terms of design, the Hyundai Mistra follows other Hyundai’s design language as it has a big chrome grille, LED DRLs, and chrome accents here and there.
While there is no photo from the cabin. Hyundai mentioned some features like a panoramic sunroof. 12.3-inch infotainment screen and range of safety and driver-assist systems like forward collision avoidance assistance, highway driving assistance, navigation-based smart cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera.
Hyundai Mistra uses a 1.8-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine under the hood with 141 hp and 176 nm of torque. Buyers who want more power can go for the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 168 hp and 253 nm of torque.
Hyundai also introduced the all-electric version of the Mistra with a single motor that produces 181 hp and 310 nm of torque. The all-electric Mistra uses a 56.5 kWh battery and has a driving range up to 520 km. with normal charging it takes 9.5 hours to charge the battery however it is possible to charge the battery from 30% to 80% in just 40 minutes.
Hyundai Mistra will enter the Chinese market by next year.
