After introducing updated range of the Hyundai Kona, now introduced an updated version of the Hyundai Kona Electric. Kona Electric is in the market since 2018 and it is the first update for the electric crossover.
Visual changes include new headlights, new LED DRLs, new bumpers, new taillights, and even a new charging port. These visual changes lead the 2021 Kina Electric to be 40 mm longer than before.
Inside the cabin changes for 2021 are a new 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and ambient lighting.
On the safety side the 2021 Kona Electric benefits Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Safe Exit Warning, Rear Seat Alert, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Warning, and Driver Attention Warning as part of Hyundai SmartSense package.
Underpinning the electric Korean crossover there is a single electric motor with 201 hp and 395 nm of torque. Kona electric uses a 64 kWh battery pack that is enough for traveling for 484 km. by using a 50 kW charger, buyers can charge 80 percent of the battery in 64 minutes and a 100 kW charged can charge it to 80 percent in just 47 minutes. Hyundai Kona Electric also benefits a Smart Adjustable Regenerative Braking system.
