Jaguar will start selling its all-electric SUV Jaguar I-Pace in India by the first quarter of next year. After revealing the new Land Rover Defender for the Indian market last week, JLR is now preparing to sell the all-electric I-Pace SUV in India.
Jaguar recently updated the new Jaguar I-Pace for the 2021 model year. The SUV uses two electric motors with a combined power of 394 hp and 696 nm of torque. The 90 kWh battery pack can also provide 470 km of driving range. Jaguar I-Pace also supports an 11 kW charger that can provide 53 km of driving range per hour. A full charge of the battery pack takes 8.6 hours.
Jaguar I-Pace also hosts lots of technologies like a digital instrument cluster, wide-angle camera, and 16 speaker premium sound system.
Jaguar is very likely to be successful in the Indian market because it is owned by Tata Group, a mother company that owns Tata Motors, Tata Chemicals, and Tata Power. JLR also wants to sell the new Defender in India with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that can produce 296 hp and 400 nm of torque.
The updated Jaguar I-Pace is available with an $80,967 base price but it is not clear how much it will cost in India.
