Jetour X70 is a mid-size crossover by Jetour Automaker. Jetour is a Chery’s subbrand launched in 2018 and it has several crossovers on its lineup. Jetour X70 first introduced in 2018 and its variants contain Jetour X70, Jetour X70 Coupe, Jetour X70M, Jetour X70S EV and Jetour X70 Plus.
In terms of size, Jetour X70 can be considered as the same segment as the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with 4,720 mm length, 1,900 mm wide, 1,695 mm tall and wheelbase of 2,745 mm.
Its main design elements are a big grille with chrome surrounds, air vents inside the front bumper and dual tailpipes. Jetour X70 uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood that can produce 156 hp and 230 nm of torque. Power sent to the front axle with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Jetour X70 is a well-equipped car with as it comes standard with 10.1-inch infotainment screen, push-button start, keyless entry and start, 360-degree camera, a power seat, parking sensor, independent climate control, electric sunroof, LED headlights, and active cruise control.
In 2019, Jetour introduced a new variant of the X70 called Jetour X70 Coupe. This model has a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that pumps out 197 hp at 5,500 rpm and 290 nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The new gasoline engine uses a direct injection and is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Chery also introduced a Jetour X70 plus in 2020 as the most luxurious variant of the Jetour X70. this model has some different design elements and has a revised front and rear end. The Jetour X70 Plus uses the same powertrain as the Jetour X70 Coupe and it also lacks the four-wheel drive system.
