Kia has introduced several exciting new models at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show, including an updated version of the EV6. This refreshed model features notable exterior and interior changes designed to enhance its appeal. At the front, the EV6 boasts a redesigned fascia with sharper angles and new "Star Map" lighting. This lighting design incorporates LED running lamps and headlights that are now separated for a more modern look. The taillights have also been restyled, featuring a revised internal structure to complement the updated design.

Inside the EV6, Kia has introduced a host of updates to refine the driving experience. A new steering wheel and an updated center console contribute to the cabin's fresh look. Additionally, the curved driver and infotainment display now feature sharper edges, enhancing the vehicle's futuristic aesthetic. These interior and exterior design changes were first showcased earlier this year when the updated EV6 launched in South Korea, and they are now making their way to the North American market.

One of the most significant upgrades for the North American version of the EV6 is the inclusion of larger battery packs, which provide an extended driving range. For performance enthusiasts, the EV6 GT receives an exciting enhancement with the addition of the Virtual Gear Shift system, previously seen in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. This feature allows drivers to simulate up to seven gear shifts, adding a dynamic and engaging element to the driving experience. It also introduces various engine sounds to accompany these simulated shifts, further enhancing the sense of realism. To complete the experience, the system adjusts torque delivery from the electric motors, mimicking the feel of traditional gear changes.

In terms of performance, the 2025 Kia EV6 GT shares its high-output dual-motor powertrain with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. This setup delivers an impressive 601 horsepower as standard, with a temporary boost feature that pushes output to 641 horsepower, providing exhilarating acceleration when needed.
