For performance enthusiasts, the EV6 GT receives an exciting enhancement with the addition of the Virtual Gear Shift system, previously seen in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. This feature allows drivers to simulate up to seven gear shifts, adding a dynamic and engaging element to the driving experience. It also introduces various engine sounds to accompany these simulated shifts, further enhancing the sense of realism. To complete the experience, the system adjusts torque delivery from the electric motors, mimicking the feel of traditional gear changes.
In terms of performance, the 2025 Kia EV6 GT shares its high-output dual-motor powertrain with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. This setup delivers an impressive 601 horsepower as standard, with a temporary boost feature that pushes output to 641 horsepower, providing exhilarating acceleration when needed.
The refreshed 2025 Kia EV6 is scheduled to arrive in dealership showrooms by June of next year. Pricing details are expected to be announced closer to its release date.
