Land Rover has unveiled yet another exclusive, ultra-limited special edition vehicle for the Australian market, showcasing bespoke design elements and commanding a premium price. The Range Rover SV Bespoke Collins Edition, restricted to a mere five units, draws its inspiration from a prominent street in Melbourne, Australia.

The decision to name this special edition SUV after Collins Street, a major thoroughfare in the heart of Melbourne's central business district, might initially seem unusual. However, Land Rover has provided a rationale for this choice. The company likens Collins Street to the Champs-Élysées in Paris, emphasizing its blend of contemporary architecture, traditional craftsmanship, and high-end boutiques. This comparison underscores the street's reputation for sophistication and luxury. Furthermore, with only five examples of the Collins Edition being produced, its rarity is assured. Land Rover playfully suggests that there will be one bespoke SUV for every million residents of Melbourne, making it an exceptionally uncommon sight on Australian roads.

The exterior of the Range Rover SV Bespoke Collins Edition is distinguished by a bespoke Satin Grey finish, complemented by black badging and gleaming SV Bespoke side gills. This color scheme is intended to harmonize with the urban landscape of the bustling city street that inspired its name. The SUV rides on 23-inch alloy wheels, also finished in Satin Grey, a feature that might require extra caution from owners when navigating tight parking spaces in the CBD.

The interior of the Collins Edition receives more distinctive treatment, featuring Caraway and Ebony leather upholstery. This combination is paired with black ceramic switchgear, moonlight chrome accents, and natural black birch wood inserts, creating a luxurious and sophisticated ambiance. Adding to the exclusivity, the cushions, treadplates, and seat embroidery all bear the name of the special edition, reinforcing its unique identity.

Beneath the hood resides a mild-hybrid twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine, sourced from BMW, generating an impressive 570 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. This powerful engine enables the Range Rover, despite its substantial weight, to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a brisk 4.5 seconds.

For those interested in acquiring one of these five "city jewels," as Land Rover describes them, a significant financial commitment is required. The Range Rover SV Bespoke Collins Edition is priced from AU$507,047. Interestingly, this price point is slightly lower than that of the previous Australian special edition, the Range Rover SV Orpheus Edition, which included a complimentary statue with the purchase. This latest offering from Land Rover underscores the brand's commitment to creating highly exclusive and personalized vehicles for discerning customers.
