Lexus Refreshes IS Lineup with Special Edition and Updates

Despite declining sales, Lexus is committed to the IS sedan and has announced several updates for the 2025 model year, including a limited-edition variant.

The most notable addition is the IS 500 F Sport Flare Yellow Limited Edition. Based on the range-topping IS 500 F Sport Premium, this special edition features a striking Flare Yellow exterior complemented by 19-inch BBS wheels with a dark finish. The two-tone theme extends to the interior, which boasts Black NuLuxe seats with suede inserts and yellow contrast stitching, along with matching floor mats and a key glove. Production of this limited edition will be restricted to 180 units, and it is expected to go on sale later in 2025. Pricing details have not been released yet, but the standard IS 500 F Sport Premium starts at $64,845.

Other updates for the 2025 IS lineup include the addition of dark chrome window trim and power folding mirrors with dark chrome accents on the IS 300 F Sport and IS 350 F Sport. Inside, a newly standard power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel and a memory package enhance convenience and personalization. In response to customer feedback, the IS 300 F Sport Design and IS 350 F Sport Design now come equipped with a heated steering wheel. Additionally, the IS 350 F Sport offers a new design for its BBS wheels, and the IS 500 F Sport features standard power folding mirrors.

The IS 500 remains the flagship model in the IS lineup, powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 472 horsepower and 535 Nm of torque. This potent engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, allowing the IS 500 to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.

Pricing for the 2025 IS lineup starts at $41,360, which is slightly higher than the previous year's model. The IS 300 F Sport has experienced a more significant price increase of $1,075, while the IS 500 F Sport has seen a modest $300 price hike.
