The Maserati GT2 Stradale, the latest addition to Modena's lineup of high-performance vehicles, is built on the MC20 platform and represents a new pinnacle in the brand’s "super sports car" category. Inspired by the GT2 race car, this street-legal coupe showcases a design deeply rooted in motorsport aesthetics.

At first glance, the GT2 Stradale’s race-inspired design is evident. The car features a strikingly aggressive front bumper with a pronounced shark-nose design, complemented by enlarged air intakes and an integrated splitter that contribute to its aerodynamic efficiency. Additional visual and functional elements include a ventilated hood, front fender vents, and 20-inch forged wheels. The vehicle is further equipped with sizable side scoops, a prominent diffuser, and an adjustable rear wing made of carbon fiber. This rear wing is instrumental in generating up to 500 kg of downforce at a speed of 280 km/h, enhancing the car’s stability and performance.

Inside, the GT2 Stradale retains much of the MC20’s interior layout but with several significant upgrades. The sports seats have been replaced with new carbon fiber shell versions upholstered in Blu Elettrico Alcantara. For those who prefer a more comfortable option for everyday driving, alternative sport seats are available. The steering wheel has also been redesigned to include integrated LED lights that illuminate when the engine reaches 5,500 rpm in Sport and Corsa modes, providing a visual cue for gear shifts. Other interior updates include a carbon fiber central tunnel, matte finishes, repositioned controls, and yellow accents. The car features an enlarged wireless smartphone charger to accommodate the latest devices, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and an audio system with six or twelve speakers.

On the performance front, the GT2 Stradale benefits from a weight reduction of 60 kg and an upgraded twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 631 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. While this represents a 10-horsepower increase over the standard model, the torque is slightly reduced by 10 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that drives the rear wheels, enabling the GT2 Stradale to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 324 km/h. Although this top speed is slightly lower than that of the regular model, the acceleration time is marginally faster by a tenth of a second.

New Maserati GT2 Stradale

The GT2 Stradale is equipped with a track-oriented suspension and a more robust Brembo braking system, which includes larger carbon ceramic discs. Maserati offers two performance packages for the GT2 Stradale. The first package enhances the car with an electronic limited-slip differential, carbon-ceramic racing brakes, and ultra-high-performance Michelin semi-slick tires, along with unique ABS, ESC, and MSP calibrations. For those seeking even greater extremes, the Performance Plus package includes all of these features plus additional racing-derived elements such as four-point seat belts and a fire extinguisher, pushing the boundaries of track-focused performance.
