McLaren is releasing a special edition of the 720S supercar in the iconic Gulf Oil livery to commemorate the company's renewed relationship. It complements the MCL35M Formula 1 car, which will be seen this weekend at the Monaco Grand Prix in the classic Gulf colors and with a matte finish for the first time in F1 history.

In terms of the road car, McLaren claims it took 20 days to hand paint the supercar, and the Woking-based company collaborated with Dutch paint specialist AkzoNobel to complete the prototype. The brake calipers and tire lip on the 720S are both painted in solid orange.

The 720S is one of the fastest supercars on the market, with a 0-100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds and a maximum speed of 341 km/h. It weighs 1,283 kg dry and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with 710 HP and 770 Nm of torque.
