Geely, a renowned automotive manufacturer, is set to captivate the market with the introduction of the Haoyue Pro, the latest member of its Haoyue series. Scheduled for an early January release, this model follows closely on the heels of the recently unveiled Boyue Cool. Teaming up with the Haoyue L, the Haoyue Pro is designed to elevate the competitiveness of the Haoyue lineup in the automotive arena.
Internationally recognized as the Okavango series, the Haoyue family encompasses three SUVs: Haoyue, Haoyue L, and Haoyue Pro. The Haoyue Pro, known as Livan in international markets, is a collaboration between Geely and Lifan. Livan, primarily focused on battery-swappable electric vehicles in China, showcases older Geely models like the Livan X6 Pro and X3 Pro as internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles in its international lineup.
The exterior design of the Haoyue Pro draws inspiration from the Vision Pro model, resurrecting elements from the Vision X6 Pro that exited the Chinese market. Noteworthy features include a sizable matrix-style grille adorned with the silver Geely emblem and a headlight assembly offering both halogen and LED light sources. The vehicle is also equipped with stylish 18-inch five-spoke wheels, while its side and rear design elements mirror those of the Vision X6 Pro.
In terms of dimensions, the Haoyue Pro maintains consistency with its predecessors, measuring 4518 mm in length, 1834 mm in width, 1715 mm in height, and featuring a wheelbase of 2666 mm.
Entering the interior, the Haoyue Pro showcases a revolutionary design, boasting a floating dual-screen setup on the center console that significantly reduces the reliance on physical buttons. The armrest area incorporates physical control keys for electronic gear shifting and parking brakes. Additionally, the model features dual-tone integrated leather seats and a laser-carved decorative panel on the center console. With a 5-seat layout, it distinctively sets itself apart from the Haoyue L.
Under the hood, the Haoyue Pro is equipped with a robust 1.5T turbocharged engine, delivering an impressive maximum power of 180 Hp and an estimated urban fuel consumption of 6.96L/100km. This engine is a flagship model for Geely Motors and is also utilized in the recently revealed Boyue Cool, boasting an estimated peak torque of 290Nm.
While official pricing is yet to be disclosed, industry experts anticipate the Haoyue Pro to be priced similarly to the Vision X6 Pro, ranging from $10,700 to $12,600. However, considering the upgrades compared to the Vision X6 Pro, a pricing point closer to $14,000 is also deemed plausible. Geely's Haoyue Pro emerges as a compelling option, combining sleek design, advanced features, and a powerful engine, making it a noteworthy addition to the competitive SUV market.
