Imagine a luxury electric off-roader from a luxury brand. How is that even possible? Getting dirty and all muddy is carved into the spirit of an off-roader. Yet, here we are with Mercedes-Benz EQC 4×4², an electric SUV, which can be interesting as an off-road car.
Apparently, the new Mercedes Benz EQC 4×4² is strong and less of a luxury brat compared to some other models. Mercedes Benz company, officially debuted this unique and charming electric SUV online, and now fans are celebrating.
This vehicle has been designed based on the famous EQC 400 model, but for now, it is just a study case. Of course, there are some differences between the two, like elevated ground clearance, portal axles and many other cool updates.
Mercedes Benz EQC 4×4² is 2.4 inches (6 cm) taller than any usual G-Wagen, with 15.7 inches (40 cm) fording depth, 24.2 brakeover angle and 31.8 approach with 33 departure angles. The fenders have been extended, so it is 8 inches (20 cm) wider than the other models. The 20-inch wheels, are hugged by 285/50 tires. The Mercedes Benz EQC 4×4 is designed by the same team which created the E 400 All-Terrain 4×4² concept idea. Its appearance totally resembles the EQC model. It has the same dual-screen layout and supports many other updated features inside the cabin.
Mercedes Benz EQC 4×4² features a dual-motor setup, just like the EQC 400. This power system, produces 408 horsepower and 762Nm of torque. These electric motors, get their power from an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. On only one charge, the EPA range is estimated to be approximately 354 km (220 miles).
