Cadillac has announced the pricing details for the Escalade IQ, its all-electric luxury SUV and a new addition to the Escalade lineup. This 2025 model, which represents a leap into the EV market for Cadillac’s flagship people-mover, comes with a starting price of $129,900. This includes a $2,290 destination fee and places it at over $40,000 more than the most affordable gas-powered Escalade. Despite sharing the same name, the Escalade IQ differs significantly from its internal-combustion counterpart in terms of design, platform, and features.
Unlike the gas-powered Escalade, which shares its chassis and V-8 engine with GM’s Chevy and GMC SUVs, the Escalade IQ is built on the same platform as the Hummer EV and Silverado EV. This electric platform enables a sleeker, more aerodynamic design with a body that is a foot longer than the traditional Escalade. The overall appearance is far more sculpted, with a modern swept-back look aimed at improving efficiency and appeal.
The Escalade IQ will debut in four trim levels: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, and Sport 2. All trims come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain powered by Cadillac’s Ultium battery, offering over 200 kWh of usable capacity. This setup delivers 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated range of 460 miles on a full charge. The standard performance can be further enhanced with Velocity Max drive mode, which increases output to 750 hp and 1,063 Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in under five seconds.
Cadillac has incorporated an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling up to 161 km of range to be added in just 10 minutes via a DC fast charger. However, details about the full charging time for the massive battery are yet to be disclosed.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is set to hit dealerships by the end of the year, marking a new era for the brand’s flagship luxury SUV. Its combination of advanced technology, premium features, and powerful all-electric performance positions it as a noteworthy contender in the luxury EV market.
