The "F1 Edition" variant of the C63 S has been added to the lineup by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance, the line's premium model, was unveiled last month.
Mercedes will offer the "F1 Edition" special, with motorsport-inspired highlights inside and out, for a brief period of one year following the market introduction.
The AMG Aerodynamics kit, which includes the front splitter, a lip spoiler on the trunk, an additional level to the diffuser, and various side moldings, is included as standard equipment on the Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance "F1 Edition". The AMG Night Package I and II, which add a number of high-gloss black elements and a black chrome finish to the grille, quad exhaust pipes, and emblems, are also included with the F1 Edition.
The silver-chrome AMG fuel filler cap is a further unique feature. The "F1 Edition" can also be coupled with the more useful Estate body style in addition to the sedan. The vehicle also includes a set of 20-inch AMG forged wheels with red rim flanges that are matte black in the finish.
The Manufacture Alpine Grey Uni exterior of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance "F1 Edition" fades to black on the lower half of the body before the red accents on the aero components.
Highlights inside include the black Nappa leather AMG Performance steering wheel and seats with red stitching, red seatbelts, red dashboard decor, an "Edition" emblem, illuminated scuff plates, and AMG floor mats with the F1 insignia.
The plug-in hybrid system still generates 671 horsepower and 1,020 Nm of torque from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and a rear-mounted electric motor because there are no technical modifications made to the normal C63 S under the hood. The rear-biased 4Matic+ system and a nine-speed automatic transmission distribute power to all four wheels.
The automaker has every right to create cars with F1 themes that are modeled after the silver arrows. Pricing for the Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance "F1 Edition" is yet unknown.
