Mercedes-AMG finally took cover from the GT Black Series. The modified super sport car uses 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 720 hp and 800 NM of torque.
The engine is heavily modified and features a flat-plane crank, new camshaft, sport exhaust manifolds, larger turbocharger compressor wheels, new firing order and dry sump lubrication system.
Engine is coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. AMG even refined the gearbox in order to handle the increased engine torque. Mercedes-AMG GT Black series can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 3.2 seconds. It also can hit 200 kph in 9 seconds and reach the top speed of 325 kph.
Under the body there are other modifications like coil-over suspension, adaptive dampers and adjustable anti-roll bars.
Stopping power is provided by a ceramic braking system which uses motorsport pads and discs. The new braking system is optimized to resist heat.
Looking at the GT Black Series and will realize many visual and aerodynamic improvements like carbon fiber shear panel, larger grille, adjustable splitter, carbon fiber canards, carbon fiber hood with large ram air intake and vents, carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber side skirts, carbon fiber tailgate, two-piece adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, carbon fiber rear bumper and four tailpipes inside a wide diffuser. Thanks to these improvements, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series can generate 400 kg of downforce at the speed of 250 kph.
For saving more weight, AMG GT Black Series even uses a thinner front windshield. Last but not least there are new set of 10-spoke wheels finished in matte black. The rims are 19-inch in the front and 20-inch at the rear and there are a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires on them.
Changes inside the cabin are subtle but we can mention new carbon fiber sport seats wrapped in Nappa leather with orange contrast stitching, sport microfiber sport steering wheel and lightweight door panels.
Mercedes-AMG hasn't released any pricing information yet.
