Mercedes Benz started taking orders for its latest electric van the eSprinter in the U.K with a base price of $67,917. Like other electric vans from Mercedes Benz, the eSprinter also available in two versions, one with DC 20 kW charging and the other with DC 80 kW charging. The later can charge the battery from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes while the lower one can charge the same amount in 2 hours. The eSprinter also offers a driving range of 154 km which is above the average driving range for Europe. The car uses a 114 hp electric motor with 295 nm of torque from zero rpm. Power is directly sent to the front wheels.
Standard equipment for the eSprinter includes DAB radio, Bluetooth connection, heated driver seat, armrest for driver seat, dual passenger seat, adjustable steering wheel, wooden floor and 8-meter charging cable.
Safety features like Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, Crosswind Assist, Mercedes Pro Connect integrated digital connectivity system and Emergency eCall can be seen on the eSprinter as standard.
Mercedes gives an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the battery pack as well.
