There is new picture of the next-generation of the Subaru BRZ sports car. It shows more than a simple vehicle, actually this is a complete car and ready to be unveiled. Subaru has also confirmed that officially on Twitter that it will be revealed in the coming weeks. That means that at last we can see the new Subaru BRZ without the wraps this Autumn.
As Subaru and Toyota has extended their development partnership last year, confirmed the successor to the Toyota GT86 and BRZ was under development. They are sharing their costs and knowledge, so they reduce the costs of sport cars and make them much economically.
Also, this year we saw the prototype of this car. As the photo shows us, new member of the BRZ family has the same curved silhouette forms but what is changed is the big front grille (we aren’t surprised at all!) and new shapes for the both front and rear lights.
According to the previous models, BRZ and its GT86 sibling will have the same engine, the 2.4-litre four-cylinder boxer motor, under the hood. as it was reported earlier the power of it comes from a turbocharged petrol engine with the total 255-hp output. About 200-hp comes from the naturally aspirated motor which is currently used by the Toyota-Subaru.
Inside the car has changed too. The whole interior has experienced an overhaul. The quality of the used materials is improved, better infotainment functionality and usability for the owners. However, as the size and shape of the new prototype reveals, it didn’t have a rear leg room extension.
Also, Subaru and Toyota are developing a new electric car too with the Subaru-derived four-wheel drive technology and Toyota's powertrain hardware. This cooperation gave the companies more speed. The development of new Subaru BRZ came out just two weeks after the end of production of the original model.
