Nissan Unveils Facelifted Note

Author: |

Nissan has recently revealed the refreshed version of its Note model in the Japanese market, marking three years since the third-generation debut. This update primarily focuses on exterior enhancements, showcasing redesigned bumpers and innovative wheel covers, while retaining much of the mechanical and interior technologies from the existing Note.

Exterior Refinements

A standout feature of the facelift is the revamped V-motion grille, characterized by slimmer horizontal slits and chrome accents. The body-colored slits, especially noticeable in vibrant hues like the new violet and turquoise options, or dark metal gray for monochromatic shades, add a distinct touch. The front bumper receives more conventional lower intakes, and the rear bumper gains an asymmetrical pattern between the reflectors.

The facelifted Note introduces stylish wheel covers inspired by Japanese geometric patterns. However, some might find the concept-style wheel hubs to be on the smaller side, measuring 16 inches in diameter for the vehicle's size.

Hybrid Powertrain and Mechanical Features

Continuing the trend from its predecessor, the facelifted Note remains exclusively available in hybrid form (e-Power). It features a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, acting as a generator for either a single electric motor (FWD) or dual electric motors (AWD).

Interior Upgrades

Inside the vehicle, the 9-inch infotainment screen and 7-inch digital instrument cluster persist from the previous model. Designers have introduced new patterns on the dashboard insert and seat fabrics to refresh the aesthetics. Notably, the glove box has been enlarged and divided into two compartments, enhancing the model's practicality. Additionally, a swiveling driver's seat option aims to simplify entry and exit.

Nissan's Intelligent Key automatically manages the car's locks based on the driver's proximity, while LED headlights become a standard feature across all trims. The 360° Safety Assist ADAS suite has been improved to adapt the vehicle's speed more effectively in various circumstances.

Pricing and Availability

The 2024 Nissan Note in Japan starts at $15,791 for the 2WD version and $17,725 for the 4WD. Although these prices represent a modest increase compared to the existing model, they are justified by the richer standard equipment. Anticipated deliveries of the updated model to Japanese dealers are set for late January 2024.
