The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and GLS will be available in special versions to commemorate the company's centenary. The Edition 100s have a hand-painted silver and marine blue body, as well as distinctive wheels with a new grey finish, and are limited to 100 pieces apiece. On the hub caps and rear pillars of the anniversary vehicles, there is also “Edition 100” badging.
Beautiful designo crystal white and silver-grey pearl leather contrasted with black wood as you enter the cabin. Illuminated sill plates and a variety of Maybach Edition 100 emblems are also available.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, on the other hand, is equipped with a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that generates 621 horsepower and 1,001 Nm of torque. It should have a top speed of 209 km/h and a 0-96 km/h time of 4.4 seconds.
A twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with 549 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque powers the ultra-luxury GLS. It should allow the model to accelerate from 0 to one 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
In addition, the firm has partnered with Robbe & Berking to provide silver champagne flutes with custom engraving. There's also a fountain pen with an 18-carat gold nib, 100 diamonds, and a mother-of-pearl cap, if they aren't expensive enough.
A total of 100 units will be produced internationally, with some arriving in the United States next year. The price has not been revealed, but given that the standard Maybach S-Class S680 with the V12 starts at an eye-watering €217,323 in Germany, you can expect it to be rather expensive.
