Automobile market is getting more and more competitive, especially for the electric cars section as it’s a new and growing market with bright future. Before, we had seen the presents of Appel, Huawei, and even Xiaomi which are mostly known for the smartphones at this market, but now, another giant company is joining the market, Oppo!

Maybe we haven’t heard this name, but for Chinese its is well known. This brand is owned by electronics giant BBk and last year, in 2020, had occupied 21 percent of the smartphones market. Now the CEO of this company, Tony Chen, has revealed this firm’s entrance to the Electric-Vehicles world.

The original reports by CarNewsChina, unveiled some pathways for the company. It seems that Oppo has already started to built its team up by hiring a team of automotive designers and engineers. At the same time, has some meetings with Tesla’s supplier and battery maker, CATL. It seems that this company is firmly sure about what they are targeting for. As Chen argue:

"If automakers can't build good cars and Oppo has the strength, we will try it in the future."

Actually, as an electric Company, building up a electric vehicle could be an easy way for Oppo. This company has enough experiences with software’s. Also, Oppo is doing some developments related to autonomous and unmanned driving, including distance measuring devices, cameras, and electronic equipment for car positioning.

By the way, its still unclear how Oppo would produce its EV. The first way is to built up a car from 0 to 100 by your self just like the Huawei is doing or, they can go for auto manufactures and submit their enjoinment. The many number of automakers in China is a great opportunely for Oppo. In some month some new news will be revealed by company.
